Frequently Asked Questions

Activity-based training (ABT) is an approach to rehabilitation that focuses on engaging the nervous system through repetitive, functional movements. Unlike traditional therapy that works around the injury, ABT targets recovery below the level of injury to promote neuroplasticity and restore function.
Our programs serve individuals living with spinal cord injuries, paralysis, traumatic brain injuries, stroke, multiple sclerosis, and various orthopedic injuries. We work with clients at all stages of recovery.
While a referral is not required, we recommend consulting with your physician before starting any new rehabilitation program. We're happy to coordinate with your medical team to ensure the best outcomes.
Sessions are 50 minutes long, though duration can be adjusted based on your individual needs, stamina, and recovery plan. Your therapist will work with you to determine the ideal session length.
Wear comfortable athletic clothing and bring any assistive devices you currently use. Recent medical records or imaging related to your condition are helpful but not required.
Frequency varies by individual. Most clients start with 2–3 sessions per week. Your therapist will recommend a schedule based on your goals and progress, and we can adjust it as needed.
Coverage depends on your specific insurance plan. We recommend contacting your provider about coverage for neurorehabilitation or activity-based therapy. Our team can provide documentation to support your claims.
