Our Story
It all started with a powerful true story, when founder Jeff Lefkovitz was introduced to a man written off by traditional medicine after a spinal cord injury. Jeff first met Gary in 2011 at the chiropractic office where he worked. Gary was 63 and ten years earlier, he had fallen in his kitchen, hit his head on the countertop, and broken his neck.
Gary instantly became quadriplegic and could no longer use his arms or legs. Before the injury he had a family and a successful convenience store business, which he was forced to close. His condition made him dependent on others for care. Over time his support system became very small, and his 84 year old mother became his full time caregiver.

Through relentless adaptive exercise therapy and the invention of the groundbreaking MÁS (Mobility Activation System), that man progressed from complete dependence to standing and walking short distances with a walker. That breakthrough sparked ARC, a specialized adaptive fitness and health clinic dedicated to giving others the same chance.
